Caramelle, Ernst, b. Hall in Tirol (Tirol), March 15, 
1952, painter and graphic artist. Studied at the Hochschule fuer 
angewandte Kunst (now University of Applied Art) in Vienna; 1986-1991 
professor at this institution; 1991-1992 professor at the Tudor Jan 
van Eyck Academy in Maastricht; 1992-1993 professor at the 
Gesamthochschule Kassel; since 1994 professor at the Staatliche 
Akademie der bildende Kuenste in Karlsruhe.
