Casinos Austria AG, Austrian gambling enterprise, since 1997 ten 
branches, open throughout the year, in Baden, Bregenz, Graz, 
Innsbruck, Kleinwalsertal, Linz, Salzburg, Seefeld, Velden and Vienna, 
as well as seasonal casinos in Bad Gastein and Kitzbuehel. Since 1962 
local residents have also been allowed to attend the local branch; 
entrance only permitted to people over 18 years of age. Every guest is 
registered on entering. In 1996 around 2 million Austrians and over 
1 million nationals of other countries attended the Austrian 
casinos (total of 3.1 million guests). gross gaming revenue amounted 
to ATS 2.52 billion in 1996, and paid a total  of ATS 1.78 billion in 
taxes and levies. Operates casinos on 4 continents and in 11 
countries.
