Cisleithania (from Latin, land on this side of the River Leitha, as 
opposed to Transleithania, which refers to Hungary), colloquial term 
denoting the western half of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy after 1867 
(officially "the Empires and lands represented in the Reichsrat").
