b. Prague (Czech Republic), March 11, 1805, 
d. Vienna, March 17, 1891, general; 1846 became major general, 1861 
general of the cavalry and member of the Upper Chamber of the 
Reichsrat. Awarded the title "Obersthofmeister" by Emperor Franz 
Joseph in 1865, commander of the 1st Army Corps in the Austro-Prussian 
war.
