d. Schruns (Vorarlberg), July 27, 1972, author; husband of Ida  
Roland. Founded the  Pan-European Movement in Vienna in 1923, 
published a magazine of the same name from 1924; C.-K. emigrated to 
Switzerland in 1938 and then to the USA. 1940 taught in New York; 
1923-1972 president of the Pan-European union, from 1947 Secretary 
General of the European Parliamentary Union.
