b. Vienna, Feb. 20, 1843, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 14, 1909. Engineer, pioneer in the field of telegraph 
and telephone communications, father of Oskar  Czeija. Founded a 
workshop for mechanical engineering and telegraphic equipment in 
Vienna in 1880, which became the "Telephon- und Telegraphenfabrik 
Czeija, Nissl & Co." in 1884, when Franz  Nissl joined the company. 
The firm played an important role in developing the telephone network 
of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
