b. Bozen/Bolzano (South Tyrol), March 14, 1940. Since 1962 tenor at 
the Vienna Volksoper, 1968 debut at the Vienna State Opera. Performs 
lyrical opera roles (Tamino, Werther, Wilhelm Meister) and appears in 
operettas.
