Deubler, Konrad, b. Bad Goisern (Upper Austria), Nov. 26, 1814, 
d. Bad Goisern, March 31, 1884. Free-thinking miller, farmer and 
inn-keeper. In 1853 the "folk philosopher of Primesberg" was sentenced 
to 2 years in prison in Bruenn (Brno) as a revolutionary, then 
interned in Olmuetz (Olomouc) until 1857, 1862-1864 exiled to Iglau; 
1870-1871 mayor of Bad Goisern, D.'s home in Bad Goisern was a meeting 
place for writers and philosophers. In Bad Goisern there is a K.D. 
monument and a K.D. collection in the local heritage museum.
