Head of Austrian "Volksliedwerk", 1965-1993 head of the Institute for 
Folk Musicology at the Musikhochschule* in Vienna, publisher of 
"Corpus Musicae popularis Austriacae" (since 1993), as well as a 
four-volume collection of Lower Austrian folk songs (Lieder aus dem 
Waldviertel, 1986; Lieder aus dem Weinviertel, 1990; Lieder aus dem 
Mostviertel, 1993; Lieder aus dem Industrieviertel, 1998).
