Deutschoesterreichischer Klub (German-Austrian Club), liberal party, 
in opposition during the  Taaffe government, although it always 
stressed its ambitions as a state party; it joined the "Deutscher 
Klub" ("German Club") to form the "Vereinigte Deutsche Linke" ("United 
German Left") in 1888.
