Dietl, Gottlieb, b. Kezmarok (Slovakia), Oct. 19, 1862,
d. Vienna, May 25, 1946. Engineer, head of technical
experimentation in Austria. Invented an automatic telephone
switchboard using the two-motion selector (named after him) and the
multiparty telephone.
