Dirkens, Annie, b. Berlin (Germany), Sept. 25, 1869, 
d. Vienna, Nov. 11, 1942. Soprano, the best-known diva of 
operettas in Vienna; in 1896 debut at the Theater an der Wien, from 
1899 performed at the Theater in der Josefstadt, also at the 
Carltheater, from 1905 again at the Theater in der Josefstadt.
