Dorf an der Pram ist eine landwirtschaftlich-gewerbliche Gemeinde mit Maschinenbau im Pramtal.  

Urkundlich wird Dorf an der Pram erstmals 1371 genannt. In der Pfarrkirche (Neubau 1901/02) befinden sich ein Barockhochaltar (frühes 18. Jh.) und eine Schutzengelkapelle (1891). Die Kirche St. Nikola (1702) ist mit einem Barockaltar und dem „Augenbründl“ ausgestattet.
