alt. 234 m, pop. 1,119, area 9.68 km%%sup 2/%, east of 
Mattersburg close to the Hungarian border. - First documented mention 
1327; partly Gothic parish church (alterations 1701), horseshoe-shaped 
palace (17%%sup th/%  century) situated in a French garden with 
Baroque statues (J. C.  Schletterer); pre-historic finds ("Venus 
of Drassburg", 4%%sup th/%  millennium B.C.).
