!!!Dreiherrnspitze

Dreiherrnspitze, 3,499 m, highly glaciated summit of the
Venediger massif, west of the Grossvenediger at the watershed of the
rivers Salzach, Drau/Drava and Eisack. In the Middle Ages boundary
mark of the estates of the counts of Tirol, the counts of Goerz and
the Salzburg archbishops (the "drei Herren"/three lords). Since 1919
the Dreiherrenspitze has formed the border between Austria and Italy
(Italian: Picco dei Tre Signori).
