Dresden, Treaty of, December 25, 1745, between Maria Theresia and 
elector Friedrich August II of Saxony as one party and 
Friedrich II of Prussia as the other, ended the 2%%sup nd/% 
 Silesian War. Prussia retained Silesia (Treaty of Breslau 1742), 
in return recognised Maria Theresia´s husband as Emperor 
Franz I.
