ERA-BAU AG, building firm formed by the merger of Eberhardt, Neue 
Reformbau, Uniprojekt und Hinteregger/Hall companies. Activities 
focused on eastern Austria (industry leader in housing construction in 
Vienna and Lower Austria; also active in Germany and the Central and 
Eastern European reform countries. The company had a staff of 2227 in 
1997, when it reported sales in the order of ATS 6 billion. In May 
1998 ERA-BAU AG  was taken over by Austria's largest group in the 
field of building,  Bau Holding AG.
