Wood processing (building industry, sawmills, furniture
manufacturing), shoe manufacture and trade, clothes factory, printing
works, hotel and restaurant trade; Oberaudorf-Ebbs run-of-river power
station run by the Austro-Bavarian Power Station AG (founded in 1992,
134,000 MWh); "Fohlenhof" (largest Haflinger stud-farm in Europe). -
Baroque church (1748-1756) with ceiling frescoes by J. A. Moelk
(1750) and altars, pulpit and sculptures by J. M. Lengauer; late
Gothic pilgrimage church of St. Nikolausberg (first documented mention
1361) with late Gothic murals; small zoo with exotic animals, nature
reserve, Kaiser mountain range, Wagrain castle (originally Gothic
residence, rebuilt in 1862).
