d. Vienna, March 11, 1807, pianist and composer; brother of Ferdinand  
Eberl. Was a friend of W. A.  Mozart (possibly even a pupil), like L. 
van Beethoven considered a genius by his contemporaries, especially 
after his instrumental works had been performed.

Singspiele (Die Marchande des Modes, 1783), operas (Die 
Koenigin der schwarzen Inseln, 1801), instrumental, choir and piano 
works.
