d. Vienna, May 27, 1805. Actor and poet for the theatre, brother of 
Anton F. J.  Eberl; wrote pieces using motifs from bourgeois life with 
typical figures such as "Kasperl" and "Eipeldauer"; 1795/96 leased the 
Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna.
