Edelschrott, Styria, municipality in the district of Voitsberg, alt. 
793 m, pop. 1,734, area 65.88 km%%sup 2/%, summer resort in 
Teigitschtal valley, south of Koeflach. - Holiday and recreation 
homes, pumping station, office of STEWEAG - Styrian Electricity 
Company (power plant of St. Martin). Southeast of E. is the 
Hirzmann-Stausee reservoir and the Langmann barrage of the river 
Teigitsch; storage power plant with subterranean reservoir at St. 
Martin (built in 1965, 15,500 MWh, municipality of St. Martin am 
Woellmissberg). Baroque church with Romanesque tower, "Stroehberne 
Bruecke" bridge over Teigitschbach river.
