!!!Egedacher, Orgelbauerfamilie

Egedacher, family of organ builders from Salzburg. Christoph E., 
d. Salzburg, April 5, 1706; in 1668 built the organ in Kitzbuehel, in 
1673 became organ builder for the court in Salzburg; began 
construction of the organ in Salzburg Cathedral, later completed and 
enlarged by his son Johann Christoph E. (1664-1747). Johann Ignaz E. 
(1675-1744) took over the Freundt family's organ business with his 
brother Johann Georg E. and taught numerous apprentices (including A. 
Silbermann).
