!!!Eggenberg, Hochadelsfamilie

Eggenberg, noble family from Styria, merchants in Radkersburg and Graz 
in the 15th century, made a fortune in the exchange business. Became 
barons in 1598. The family died out in 1717 and the  Schwarzenberg 
family inherited their estates in Bohemia. Among the most prominent 
members of the E. family were Baron Johann Ulrich von  Eggenberg and 
Baron Ruprecht von  Eggenberg.
