b. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Oct. 5, 1802, 
d. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Oct. 23, 1860, works owner, grandson of 
Count Max Thaddaeus von  Egger. in 1840 built Austria's first wire 
rolling mill in Feistritz im Rosental (Carinthia); in 1854 started the 
peat-fired iron works in Freudenberg (Carinthia).
