d. Lovrana (Croatia), March 16, 1904, school educator and German
scholar, tutor to Crown Prince Rudolf, 1878-1893 director of the
Theresianum Academy in Vienna; active in politics and science
(chairman of "Die Mittelschule", a secondary education association),
founded a collection of writings on popular education and the school
system ("Volksbildung und Schulwesen").
