b. Vienna, June 26, 1950, 1983-2016 Chief Rabbi of the Vienna Jewish 
Community. Comes from a family of rabbis, studied mathematics and 
statistics in Vienna, then studied to be a rabbi in Jerusalem. since 
1988 also Chief Rabbi of the Austrian Association of Jewish 
Communities.
