b. Vienna, April 20, 1928, 
d. Vienna, Jan. 15, 1998, painter; son of Hanns  Eisler. Fled to 
England, where he studied under O.  Kokoschka, then 1946-1948 at the 
Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna; 1968-1972 president of the Vienna  
Secession. Realistic/expressive painting style dealing with social and 
political themes.
