Elstner, Frank, b. Linz (Upper Austria), April 19, 1942, 
television moderator, producer. From 1966 employed by Radio 
Luxembourg, from 1970 programme director; from 1972 German-language 
programme director of RTL Television. Became famous as the creator and 
moderator of the programme "Wetten, dass ..." (from 1981), 
the most successful television show in the German-speaking countries. 
Established his own television production company in 1982. Numerous 
awards.
