Ender, Johann Nepomuk#
b. Vienna, Nov. 3, 1793, d. Vienna, March 16, 1854, portrait and historical painter; twin brother of Thomas Ender and father of the portrait painter Eduard E. (1822-1883). 1820-1826 in Rome on an imperial stipend. Popular portraitist of high society, 1829-1850 professor of historical painting at the Vienna Academy.
