Engel Maschinenbau GmbH, mechanical engineering enterprise at 
Schwertberg (Upper Austria), founded in 1945, produces moulding 
machines and moulding tools for the treatment of elastomers, 
thermosetting plastic and thermoplastics, as well as handling devices 
and automatic machines. In 1993, annual turnover amounted to 
approximately ATS 3.8 billion, 2,300 employees.
