1947-1950 stage director for various German opera companies; since 
1950 freelance composer, mainly for films and theatre productions; has 
lived in Austria since 1957.

Operas: Fabel in C, 1952; Der Deserteur, 1983. - Orchestral 
works: Impressionen, 1955; Pavimento, 1960. - Symphonies, chamber 
music.
