b. Waldshut (Germany), in 1751, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 19, 1815. Civil servant, financial expert, employed by 
the government (Gubernium) of Galicia, from 1789 Councillor for the 
five districts of Moldova; from 1797 ''Hofrat'' ("Aulic Councillor") 
of the ''Directorium in publicis et cameralibus'' in Vienna, then 
employed in the ''Vereinigte'' ''Hofkanzlei ''(United Court 
Chancellery). Left a huge fortune to his son Rudolf.
