pop. 1,272, area 26.96 km%%sup 2/%, in the Inn valley, north of 
Kufstein close to the Bavarian border. - Customs station and customs 
authorities; wood processing (sawmills, glued-wood production), 
tourism. - Baroque parish church (1681/1682), ruins of Windhausen 
border fortress (15%%sup th/%  century), Passion plays since 
1610, Passion play theatre (1959); performances every 6 years.
