Europa Verlag, publishing house, founded in 1933 as a publishers for 
emigrants by E. Oprecht in Zurich, from 1946 in Zurich and Vienna, 
from 1953 an independent publishing company owned by the publishers of 
the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions, since 1992 privately owned, 
from 1994 with headquarters in Vienna and Munich and since 1999 in 
Vienna and Hamburg. It publishes fiction, non-fiction dealing with 
current topics, biographies, cinema etc.
