Fuessl, Karl Heinz, b. Jablonec, Czech Republic (then Gablonz), March 21, 1924,
d. Vienna, Sept. 4, 1992, composer and musicologist. From 1958 he
worked as an editor with the Universal Edition publishing house and
edited the Vienna original edition of Mozart and the complete edition
of G. Mahler's works. Professor at the Wiener Musikhochschule* from
1974. As a composer F. was an exponent of dodecaphony. Awarded the
Austrian State Prize in 1970.
