Studied law; 1931-1938 published over 200 short stories with M. Knight under the pseudonym Peter Fabrizius. 1938 emigrated to the USA; worked for the Office of War Information and the radio station "Voice of America". His study of the works of V. Frankl led him to become a teacher of psychology; established the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy in Abilene, Texas. In the USA he collaborated again with M.
