Fahrbach, Philipp the Younger, b. Vienna, Dec. 16, 1843, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 15, 1894, violinist and band leader; son of 
Philipp  Fahrbach the Elder. 1855 took over his father´s band, 
which was highly acclaimed at the Exhibition Universelle in Paris in 
1878 (major rival of J.  Strauss the Younger).
