!!!Fassbaender, Brigitte

b. Berlin (Germany), July 3, 1939, singer (mezzo-soprano). Received 
her singing training from her father; from 1973 performances at the 
Salzburg Festival and frequently at the Vienna State Opera; also known 
as a distinguished singer of lieder. During the past years has also 
made a name for herself as a director of opera and in 1999 became 
intendant of the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck.
