b. Linz, March 24, 1919, inventor and industrialist. In 1953 he 
founded the factory Textilmaschinenfabrik Dr. Ernst Fehrer AG at 
Leonding (Upper Austria), a factory for the production needle punching 
machines, web-forming machines and aerodynamic carding machines as 
well as the DREF friction spinning system. More than 1200 patents.
