Ferg, Franz de Paula, b. Vienna, May 2, 1689, 
d. London (United Kingdom), 1740, painter. He is well-known for his 
landscapes with rich staffage, which are mainly based on Dutch works 
of the late 17th century. His paintings often served as models for the 
production of engravings.
