Finger, Ern(e)st, b. Prague (Czech Republic), July 8, 1856, 
d. Vienna, April 17, 1939, dermatologist, professor at the 
University of Vienna, 1904-1927 head of the 2nd department of 
dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases at Vienna University 
Hospital, 1906-1919 president of the Vienna Medical Association, 
1925-1931 president of the advisory body to the Minister of Health. He 
enlarged knowledge about gonorrhoea and founded individual centres for 
treating venereal diseases.
