!!!Fink, Humbert
b. Salerno (Italy), Aug. 13, 1933,
d. Maria Saal (Carinthia), May 16, 1992, author, journalist.
After a collection of poems and two novels, F. wrote numerous books on
travel and non-fiction, esp. biographies of historical personalities.
In 1957/58 he published "Die oe. Blaetter" and from 1959,
together with P. Kruntorad, "Hefte fuer Literatur und Kritik".
Together with E. Willner initiator of the Ingeborg-Bachmann
competition in 1977. F. also produced series for the Austrian
broadcasting corporation and was well-known for his commentaries in
various newspapers.
