b. Linz (Upper Austria), July 25, 1895, 
d. Linz, Dec. 30, 1968, author, official at the Upper Austrian 
Provincial Museum, poet who adhered to tradition and strict form. 
Belonged to a circle of poets known as "The Group" (Die Gruppe), 
headed by F.  Sacher. 1961 awarded the Stifter Prize.
