b. Linz (Upper Austria), April 23, 1915, 
d. Vienna, Oct. 27, 1987, journalist. At first worked for the 
German-language department of the BBC and for Radiodiffusion 
française. From 1955 reporter with the Austrian Broadcasting 
Corporation, where he spent the last years of his career in working as 
a senior radio editor (July 1982) and in producing and hosting TV 
programmes.
