Landscape Names (Flurnamen), terms for portions of land, such as 
field, forest, hill, small mountain, depression, etc. Landscape names 
have been recorded in older topographical archives, in particular in 
the  Josephinian Cartographical Register and in the Franzian 
Cartographical Register. Due to changes in cultivation practices in 
the last few decades, many landscape names have become obsolete.
