Forest, delimited, cultivated woodland (as opposed to a primeval 
forest). Large forest areas used to belong to the sovereign (Vienna 
Woods) or the aristocratic landowners. Today the Austrian  
Bundesforste (Federal Forests) are the largest forestry enterprises. 
Austria's forests are regulated by the Forestry Law.
