b. Vienna, Aug. 24, 1884, 
d. New York (USA), Jan. 19, 1972, physician, founder of the Vienna 
School of Logopaedics and Phoniatrics, 1927-1938 professor at the 
University of Vienna, emigrated to the USA. Together with K. C. 
Rothe introduced remedial therapy and special school classes for 
children with speech problems in Vienna.
