b. Vienna, March 20, 1884, 
d. Cambridge (USA), July 21, 1966, physicist, mathematician and 
philosopher. Succeeded A. Einstein as professor at Prague University 
and lived in the USA from 1938. A follower of the positivist 
philosophy of the  Vienna Circle.
