!!!Franz-Josefs-Höhe

Franz-Josefs-Hoehe, alt. 2,362 m, look-out point on the  
Grossglockner-Hochalpenstrasse, with the Emperor Franz Josef's hotel 
(destroyed by fire in 1997); Franz-Josefs-Hoehe provides both parking 
lots and a garage and offers a breath-taking view of the peak of the 
Grossglockner mountain and the Pasterze glacier. A cableway can be 
taken to the vicinity of the Pasterze. Educational and hiking trails 
accessible from the Freiwandeck parking lot: Gamsgrubenweg and 
Gletscherweg paths.
