Franzobel (real name Stefan Griebl), b. Voecklabruck, Upper 
Austria, March 1, 1967, writer. Studied German language and literature 
and history in Vienna (1986-94), has worked as a writer since 1989; 
other fields of interest include performances and mail art. Awarded 
the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 1995.
